Real Player Pass

Postby OperaTenor » Mon Dec 13, 2004 3:43 pm

Hi B.com,

I have subscribed to Real Player, and am trying to listen to b.com on my laptop. When I click on listening through Real, A file called "rd" is downloaded, which I am unable to open, and am unable to get Real Player to come up, much less listen to b.com.

BTW, I subscribed something like a couple of months ago, and have had no problems listening via Real on my desktop computer.

Wassup?

PS. This is vital to our Random B.com Messiah sing along this Sunday.

Thanks.

Not sure what that file is OT. I'll ask Chris to post a solution for you.

Hi Y.R.H.,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

I figured it out shortly after posting. I didn't have the Real Player loaded on this computer. I believe the "rd" file is the signal to play B.com, which the player opens.

:( I'm still worried about this forthcoming cutback of Media Player streams. The bulk of my listening to BR is done at work, and unfortunately I do not have the option of switching to Real Player there due network restrictions. All I can use is Media Player there. :( Don't know how I'll make it through the day if I am unable to tune in.... *crosses fingers*

Hopefully enough of us can sign onto Real so it won't be a problem for those who can't.

:hopeful:

JOOC, is the Real stream broadcast in stereo?
