The whole trip is about 17 hours, if the Raton Pass is clear. Deming and Lordsberg have some OK small motels and some fireworks stands, three gas stations, and a Burger King.

cooler is a definite with large amounts of iced coffee or tea, water and juices since i don't really do the soda thing. dried fruit, trail mix and egg salad sandwiches. ummmmmm!!!!
