The Sun's Broadcast

Postby tubaplayer » Thu Jul 28, 2005 5:13 pm

Question, when the Sun's play and the game is broadcast over the AM channel, is the music that's being played over the net Gasp... Pre-Recorded?

I know that's a dirty word, Gasp... Pre-Recorded.

But if that's the case then why are we told that Ryan is coming up next? Why not just say it's Gasp... Pre-Recorded?

I've submitted requests when Ryan is supposedly maning the helm and have yet to hear my requests played.

Just sounds fishy to me. Wouldn't be very nice to advertise an All Request station then play Gasp... Pre-Recorded music.

Welcome to the pit Tubaplayer. We're all friendly here but Shap.

It's no secret that the DJs' after Nicole's shift are prerecorded. Poke around the Radioactive forum for more comments on this.

A Tubaplayer! Excellent! Every decent orchestra needs a Tubaplayer. Welcome, indeed.

Yes, they prerecord. But they choose the music in the queue from the requests, so I guess you can still count it as all-request.

Awesome, thanks for the welcome. I really appreciate it.

I've been listening for quite some time, but I didn't know that it was common knowledge the music was taped after the dj's. Thanks for the info.

I haven't picked up a tuba in 20+ years but I have fond memories of drum corp, marching in the the Rose Parade, and Navy boot camp drum corp. Ahhh, those were the days. :)
