NOW PLAYING

Postby MalcolmDale » Wed Apr 05, 2006 8:46 pm

I tuned in to beethoven radio about 9 p.m. Eastern today 5th April. A symphony was playing - sounded 19th century - Brahms maybe so i looked under "now playing" - said Mozart Symphony No.9!
No way!
Same thing happened yesteday - your "now playing" seems to be a couple of hours behind.

Welcome to BBB, Malcolm. The problem you have noted is a recurring one and has been reported many times over the week in another thread. This problem seems to vanish a few hours later, though. :)

I would appreciate it if the host could mention the name of the piece and composer at the beginning/end to help newbies like me to recognize the music.

Hi Malcolm, welcome to the Pit! :)

If you're so inclined, it would be great for you to post your location on our Betthoven.com Map. I think you're our first poster from Belize!

"Now Playing" has been stuck since just before eleven, right coast time. The music log is current (whew!) or I'd be more confused than I already am.

Mine says Anton del Forno is playing Song of India.

I'm not familiar with the Song of India, but it sounds like a proper title for whatver is playing.

Mine is also now claiming Song of India, although I'm hearing the Agnus Dei from Rutter's Requiem

Yes, that is what is weird about the current sticking problems. Before, when the "Now Playing" window stuck, the music log and the main web page would also stick. With the recent problems, I've noticed it is only the "Now Playing" window that hangs.

We had a tech glitch with the Music Log over the weekend but have since fixed that.

If you are having trouble with the Now Playing window you maybe stuck behind a firewall or you may have an older version of Flash. The Now Playing will not work correctly if you have one or both of those problems. If you can not read the Now Playing, visit the Music Log (under the On Air tab). The Music Log will work just fine if you can not read the Now Playing window.

Chris,

I'm not sure about the others, but 'service unavailable' has been coming up on Realplayer here. I'm not getting it this morning, but It appeared most of the day yesterday.
