Asphalt is forced induction 4 wheel 1000 hp monsters. The power to rate ratio is definatly in the favor of the bikes however I have seen videos of full weight Supras running right past 1000 cc street bikes. Not that a modified bike would'nt beat a supra but it is still amazing that a car can even compete with a bike.

I've raced on clay tracks and off road (all sorts of different surfaces), and driven (no competition) on paved tracks. All of it's as much fun as you can have with your pants on.

I can only imagine but it looks like fun as well as a workout. I cant imagine driving at 200 mph for a couple of hours...you have to be an athlete to let your heart beat that fast for that long and still control a car.

The later Supras have a reputation for anvil-like reliability. They make a great starting platform for a low budget supercar. Of course as a BigJon I don't fit in the petite things so I'll never own one.

Again, I suggest that you learn to drive on the track in a lower powered, rear-wheel-drive, precise handling car before tackling the 700 HP monster. They didn't let you drive bicycles just after you learned to walk, did they?

I will definatly not be able to have a 700 hp car right away. The amount of money it takes to get to that point is more then I could justify spending. But someday. Your right though I definatly dont have the skills to handle it safely.

OT...those videos were not from a dig they are from a roll....definatly an advantage for the car. But still impressive.

Ya know, not every two-wheeler has more power than you have brains.

I've seen some a stock air-cooled bug could beat.

I have seen some pretty impressive bikes in my day (including racing on sand) and I've also seen some very impressive cars (the Indy cars at Richmond are beyond description, and top fuel dragsters seem to defy the laws of physics).

If I had done that, I would have considered my statement a tongue-in-cheek insult.

Instead, I considered it a compliment, noting that by various forms of measurement, you have more brains than most motorcycles have power. How about in cubic inches? IQ points vs top end? Ability to hit the high notes?

Woooh. 1000 HP on the street? Who's complaining about the fuel economy on SUVs?

When I see cars like these, I realize that most of the owners have no life outside their cars. I'm not saying that's necessarily bad, but I sure can't see sinking that much money into a hobby, unless I was a lottery winner. Clearly, these guys are dedicated!

Your right the people who have cars like the above mentioned ones are certainly dedicated. I say if you can justify it and are happy with something like this go for it. I cant say I could spend that much on a car but what a rush it must be to look in your garage and see a car that is capable of 1000 rwhp.

Its a little off topic but have any of you heard about Schu donating 10 million to Southern Asia. Absolutly amazing gesture in my eyes.
