Compared to ClassicFM? It's
way better. Beethoven.com just feels more natural, less commercial. To me, ClassicFM always felt like they were only playing the music because they think
you'll like it. I'm not saying I like everything on Beethoven.com, but I prefer the general taste. (I have often found myself struggling to bear the pap that they'll put on Classic FM sometimes; some of the stuff they play... it just makes you wonder why anybody would want to listen to it.) But ClassicFM did introduce me to Vaughan Williams' "The Lark Ascending," my favourite piece ever; although hardly anyone seems to play the only really good recording I know of, the one with the almighty Sara Chang, God bless her.... also Ludevico Einaudi, a minimalist pianist/composer, who's minimalism, unfortunately, has some how leaked into
all of my compositions... So basically, I think ClassicFM is good, but not great.
As to Radio 3, I've never really listened to it - I really don't know why. Even when the Proms are on, I'll just watch 'em on TV. That's odd. I think I will listen to it more.
But basically, Beethoven is definitely top of the pile for me, as concerns classical music stations. Thank you for asking, David.

I'm assuming you prefer B.com too?
