OT,

You are now a soloist under the new tier structure! :D

I see I've been bumped down from 1st to 2nd chair.
Does anyone out there know the new structure...
Do I need to be a post whore ;)

Anyone Here?

Postby Shapley » Mon Apr 24, 2006 9:57 am

OT,

As near as I can figure, the threads are listed in the order they were created, not by the most recent postings. Thus, the really big threads, which are mostly quite old, will be several pages back on this list.

I've also noticed that some seem to appear with newest messages at the top of the page, others with the newest messages at the bottom, unless I'm confused (which I probably am!).

It's a whole lot like driving in St. Louis, you can always get where your going, but with the never-ending construction there, you can't get there the same way twice!

Hi Shap

Thanks, I found some missing threads.

IMNSHO regarding the new structure: Yuck. Having everything shuffled, with no simple way to find things, is cumbersome and a big turnoff.

It really would have been nice to have some warning and coaching on what was going to happen.

hey TM - I see 'naf is a 1st chair at 3032 posts and you are second chair at 2276 posts, so I'm hypothesizing that the promotion will occur with your 2500th or 2501th post.
Good luck!

(BTW, what am I? Must check when this post goes up....)
Ah -

So next 'guess' - soloist occurs at 5000 posts.....

OT,

I think I've found all of the old threads, except the "first one to post ....". I'm not sure the latest name of that thread was.

I understand the photos have been lost, and Chris is working to recover them. I haven't posted very many, so it wouldn't be too difficult for me to go back and re-link them. I know you, Pic, Annette, and tan have all posted many pics, so that would be a chore for you, assuming they can be recovered. Actually, I think many of tan's were lost before, I assumed the hosting site was down or they delete them after a certain time elapses.

We did have a heads up that the saved PM's would be lost. Chris posted on that last week.

The new BB will take some getting used to, but I still have to log in everytime. I hope that wasn't the reason for the switch.

Speaking of lost photos, all of the profile photos are gone, too.

And with all due respect - and the effort to improve things is truly appreciated - the clock seems to be about 30 minutes slow. :!:

Hi
Don't choke yourself over it - it's all about politicians competing with each other and vying for the job of PM.
Archer tells a good yarn - I'm now on a project of re-reading all his stuff from Kane and Abel via The Prodigal Daughter and Shall We tell the President? etc. etc.

Speaking of reading, I haven't been able to find the Does anybody read - Part II thread. I think it was in Nicole's section, but I didn't find it on a quick search. If anybody finds it, please bump it, so it'll show up in the new posts.
