How do you get post # 77550? Am curious. I think we're talking bg70+10+4+4? But I dont figure how thats post #77550. Edumacate me, please?

We were talking about the guy who posted the links to the plumbing websites? Well I deleted him. If there is another spammer please let me know and include a link to the section so I can locate these annoying people.

On another forum I participate in they call such spammers "trolls".
Makes you wonder what motivates them (like hackers and virus writers).

The URL under the "quote" button in each post contains the post number in the URL. In some browsers you just have to hover your mouse over the button and you get a preview of the URL. Otherwise just click on the "quote" button and read the address line from your browser.

Then you can do a neat trick like I did in this post. http://www.beethoven.com/cgi-bin/phpbb2 ... ght=#77456 Copy that URL and replace the post number in both places and you can link anyone to any post.

I think there is a difference between spammers and trolls.
here's the urbandictionary.com definition of troll:
One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument
