** Problems with PM's ?? **

Postby SargeTest » Fri Jul 21, 2006 1:05 pm

Attention on Deck!

For those of you experiencing problems with PRIVATE MESSAGING, I would like to volunteer you for some testing...

I would like for you to LOGOUT of your current account, and LOGIN with the following credentials:

Login: SargeTest
Pass: testing

Once you are successfully logged in. I would like you to START A PM to ME (Sarge)

Don't PM any other members, just PM me (Sarge), so I can track problems / issues.

Logout when finished, because other people will want to test it out.

ANY ABUSE OF THIS ACCOUNT WILL RESULT IN CANCELLED ACCOUNTS.

Thank you for your help and understanding...

Sarge, if you will put a post below this one, it will make it easier to pm you for the purposes of your testing. Im assuming you dont want us to pm to the "SargeTest" acct from the SargeTest acct.

I got through using the SargeTest alias, but using my own name I sent CLarsen a PM on the other thread and got flood controlled.

I may have to wait until 2019.

Selma, It's 1519 now, so that's only about a five hour wait. Unless you're talking local time.

Sarge, I sent a PM using the sargetest account, but didn't sign it, so I don't know if you'll know the source when you receive it. I didn't get the flood control message when doing so.

*goes into shock* You mean you turned on the one year per minute hack, Shapley!? GASP, geez, I'm gonna be 10,000 years old in no time! I hope my lifetime warantee holds out. On the other hand, combining Chris's expanation in "New Program Issues" with your hack, the people PM challenged can PM for almost 4 hours out of the day now! GENIOUS fix! :D

Yep, it's 1519. Ferdinand Magellan has just set off on his trip round the world.

Oops! Gotta get back to the 21st century. The battery backup is almost dead, and electricity hasn't been discovered yet. :D

I heard a rumor from CLarsen that the flood control issue was fixed.

Please test PM's on your own accounts now...

Thank you for helping us fix this...

I don't know yet if my recipient actually got it, but all indications on this end of a successful PM transmission.

Thanks, Chris and Sarge.
