Well, you can Google the names that otherwise fit the bill and find out where they were born. You'll have to do that later, anyhow, to help identify the name of the work.

Well, in our list, these were the only two that did not say their place of birth.

Unless, it could have been one of the composers in the site that had absolutely nothing written about him in the bio section.

If that is the case, then I'd have to officially admit defeat.

It's not Hughes, Ray. He was born somewhere in Ontario.

It may well be Manning. Just a couple of sources, but both seem to indicate that he was born in Saint-Jean, which I think, if I read Wikipedia correctly, is part of Quebec.

There was a composer born in 1900 by the name of Hector Gratton, but it couldn't of been him, since it said in the profile that he was born in Hull, Quebec, and you mentioned the site didn't say where he was born, so I excluded him from the final query.

I paid particular attention to anyone born in 1900 but none of them seemed to have the other necessary criteria. I give up on it, though. Actually, I just don't feel like looking through A-M for composers again

So that leaves Catmando. What say you? Will you look through A-M again taking note of any names born in 19th century but lacking the biographical info on their place of birth? Or is it time to concede defeat?

Composer: Colin McPhee?

Piece: Tabuh-Tabuhan, for 2 pianos and orchestra?

My other guess would have been: Tabuh-Tabuhan, toccata for orchestra.
