My posting troubles seem to be over. The clean-out of the Private Data on my Firefox wasn't the whole story, but thanks anyway. :)

There's a limit on the length of a thread title?!!

Come on!

I was just poking around in the Projects thread, trying to change the coding to show the pictures, and I noticed that some of the messages have the original coding, but some messages have no image coding at all?

What's up with that?

BTW, the ones with the image coding were easy to fix.

Barfle - early on during the migration I had written a script to automatically convert the code but it didn't work quite right and I never had a chance to go back and fix it. If I have time in the future I may get back to it but I doubt that as there are quite a few nifty projects I'm woking on now that take precedence. Thanks!

Thanks for the speedy response, Chris.

It just seemed odd that some messages had image links with the wrong syntax, but others that should have had links with the same wrong syntax had no links at all, which naturally means I have no idea what the image file name is.

But I believe I understand now.

It's a computer.

Can the ability to delete your own posts be made permanent? It seems to time out after while. This is strange behavior, in most forums, you can always delete your own posts.

The way I've noticed that it happens is that if someone has responded to your post, you can't delete it any more.. Have you seen less predictable effects?

It appears that, if your post is the last one on the thread, you can delete it. Otherwise, the best you can do is edit it so it's not quite so revealing.

I just happened to notice that there were new entries yesterday and today under the Web Cam thread that did not show up, either last night when the first was posted, or this morning when Nicole Marie replied, when I hit the 'posts since last visit' button.

When ya'll ask questions, often times my first response is to slap my forehead because the questions are challenging! So, I wanted to share my favorite resource for Forum Support Help!

Enter the magic of: phpBB Forums!

They have been a huge help, and some of you make some really great requests that the manufacturer may be interested in! With enough discussion you'll often find your ideas implemented in new versions coming out...

Hope this helps, meanwhile we'll keep fighting to get answers!
