Welcome John,
I am a "newbie" as well. It has been a few months now, but I cannot listen every day, so I still feel like a "newbie". I cannot imagine how different your time zone must be. Right now it is about 4:12PM EST, and I am listening to Nicole Marie. I just love her "four play". The others are all wonderful as well. This is a great site and I wish I could visit here more often.
Stay in touch,
Elly :)

Howdy from Texas John. I am also new to Beethoven.com. I'm having a blast though. I have found that several of my college students are enjoying Beethoven.com almost as much as I am.
Just days ago I was comforted when I heard Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody performed here but much slower than I am am used to. Perhaps I will accomplish the monster yet. LOL
Welcome mate, and good listen to ya.

I see that this is a "newbie" thread. I'm also a "newbie" and I have a question. i'd like to know more about requesting music. If I request a piece, can Ibe certain it will be played? when will it be played? how do I know if and when it will be played?
[ 11-10-2002: Message edited by: bignaf ]

Ah, bignaf, that's the classic question...
Your best bet at getting your requests played is to make those requests during the week, 6am to 6pm EST. Although we incorporate requests on the evenings and weekends, we can't get to as many as during the day.
As for letting you know, we try to send a quick note to confirm that a request is coming up, but often we get swamped, and we have to stop answering e-mails in favor of getting the actual requests on the air. If we ever sound out of breath when we do a mic break, it's because you guys have us running all over the studio getting your requests! :D
So, send in your request! If we have it, and we have time, we'll do our best to play it.

I though I'd bump this thread up.

This is an invite to any new Beethoven.com members to introduce themselves if they wish and say hello!

There seems to have been several non-BOT members who have joined recently.

Welcome aboard! We hope to hear from you!

I would say "Hi" to new member Doris, but she appears to be a spambot.

Hopefully, this will be "goodbye" to Doris, instead.

"Doris" seems to have infiltrated a number of threads. Thanks. Are we seeing a trend here?...last time it was the "gamer"

And I think we're all in agreement you're not a 'bot'. ;)

We had a influx of spammers a while back. It all appears to be fixed, now. Glad you found us.
