I'm listening to quite a different version of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 19 (1st movement). (Just to make it clear, this wasn't playing on Beethoven.com)
Jos Van Immerseel is the pianist with the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra. The piano concerto is played on period instruments, including a period fortepiano.
I really must say I did not like that version much. I'm not sure if my ears were deceiving me, but that fortepiano sounding like a cross between a mandolin and a banjo.

Seriously. Is that really how an old piano sounded like then? Yeesh!
