Please share with us your love for Handel. What are some of your favorite Handel works?

My all-time favorite is "L'allegro, Il Penseroso, ed Il Moderato" (hence my signature) but basically I'll just listen to anything by him! I actually got turned on to "L'Allegro" by seeing film of the adaption done by choreographer Mark Morris (he was inspired by William Blake's illustrations to the original Milton poems). I love Baroque opera and anything really early (especially Purcell and Monteverdi).

(FWIW, I really like his Chaconne in G Major, but that's not the correct answer either.)

Dear Shos. What a fantastic memory you must have. Yes, Gosport (a derivation of the original God's Port, nothing to do with geese ). I lost contact when the Beethoven email system stopped working (2002?), and the board underwent radical changes. Now that I am assured I have been missed, I'll try and pay more attention! How are you, wise old friend? Is Ethan still around? Audiogirl? Good to see barfle and treebeau still offering up their own particular brand of vast knowledge He he....(no offence, guys). I'll contact Michael and let him know he's also missed (but of course not as much I am).....
