ah... my lovely aaron....

A young woman sent me a PM through b.com just yesterday saying she had been a student of Aaron's. I was teary reading it because she said such kind things about Aaron but I was delighted that she found me through b.com! I can't say enough good things about Beethoven.com and to all the people who are contributors to these boards.

Ah... he's on now. This piece makes me weep...

Ahh yes! Quartetto Italiano.

Ironically String Quartet # 14 by LVB Opus 131 does not have the same emotional resonation with me compared to the other late string quartets and some of the earlier/middle ones also.

Yet, SQ # 14 is widely regarded by critics and music fans as his best.

Ya know, I love opera live, and occasionally on TV, but I gotta say there is only one good thing about the Revenge Aria on radio/internet. Thank heaven it's short.

Wow, this was my first full listen to the entire "Pictures at An Exhibition" by Modest Mussorgsky, on Beethoven.com

Thanks to David in Nashville, TN for requesting Respighi's Church Windows. This is the first time I've heard that particular piece. I know we mentioned it back in a 30 Questions some time ago, but I had not heard it before.
