Where does your favorite composer fall on the political scale?

Take the political test yourself to see where you fall on the continuum of composer politics. I am almost on top of Dvořák.

I don't think the test is well designed because of the clunky wording of the questions. I'd also like to see neutral as an option. I think my slightly "disagree" canceled out my stronger "agrees" and pushed more more towards the center than I really am.

I fall close to the Dalai Lama and I see that Wagner is on the other side of the X-Y axis. Maybe that's why "he completes me". :rofl:

Funny stuff....I guess these composers were placed on the chart relative to the politics of their respective times...I wonder how they would do with today's brave new world!

thesite is BS, BTW. like the additional distinction of levels of authoritarianism v. libertaniansm, but their analysis of actual cases are BS.

Yep, I agree that it is BS. Maybe the Y axis should be re-labelled Republican and the X axis Democrat and then everyone should be a mix of these 2.

Here's where I landed:

Economic Left/Right: 4.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.82

The chart puts most of the right-leaning composers far too authoritarian for me. I don't know where Saint-Saens falls on the chart, though.
