RECAP:

Composer born before 1756, in Germany (via process of elimination). Composer died after the start of 19th Century. Spent a good portion of work life outside Germany, and part of that time was in England. Did not become a British subject.

Orchestral work, no voices, and not a symphony. Features a highlighted instrument (but it is not a cello or keyboard).
