What's left, a concerto?

If so, a cello concerto?

I said the piece was orchestral. bands are not orchestras. I said so also i nthe recap, and I pointed out that the piece was orchestral in response to the band question. how many times do you need me to say it?  :P

For some reason I took that to mean that 'orchestral' included band music. :dunce:

I agree with Nav. I've never considered 'orchestra' to exclude band music. I guess that comes from listening to 'Big Band Music' performed by the likes of 'Duke Ellington and his Orchestra'. At least that's how they're billed, and they are classified as 'band' music.

The Encarta definitions aren't much help, either.

My goodness, since 30Q # 60, it has been a "Cat & Naf" game.

I'll start the next one tomorrow once I decide on a piece. Hopefully Trumpetmaster will take a few moments out of his busy P.W. schedule to ask a few questions! :P

We'll see if Cat and Naf can continue the hot potato game until the New Year! It would be nice to have someone different in the mix. Until then.....
