Question for Scott

Postby bellringer1953 » Mon Sep 11, 2006 10:21 am

Hey, scott, you told me in an email that your dad once rang with a handbell group--who was it? Was it a church or community group?

Just curious.

Thanks for all the nice welcomes! As you can probably tell, I'm an avid handbell ringer; been ringing for 15 years and I love it! I ring in a semi pro group and we recorded a CD last fall. It's still being edited, but as soon as it becomes available, I plan to send a copy to Scott. We have some wonderful pieces on there, including a transcription of the Bach Passacaglia in C minor which was arranged just for us! It has not yet been published, so at this time, ours is the only recording of it. We are very proud of that. We also recorded Sabre Dance and a Bach Pastorale, all of which I hope Scott will play on the air.

Any other bellringers out there??

My father was in a church group. He was a big guy so he was the bass section.

Well it wasnt so much the heat as it was the time. I go through stages I will grow it long then cut it and donate it to Locks of Love. I just decided to do it this past Saturday. Thanks for the comments though. How old did I look compared to now?
