And now, as we move to page number three,
I sense that no better time we will see,
to recap the answers we've gotten thus far.
The facts that we know to this point are:
Ludwiggy, Iggy, Iggy, is the composer's name,
Whose musical craftsmanship earned great fame.
On the Rhines western shore, in Bonn he was born.
He first saw the sun rise on a December morn.
Later he crossed over the Rhine's river bed,
And settled in Austria, but never did wed.
On the Rhine's eastern side he lived out his life,
his immortal beloved never becoming his wife.
Musicians worldwide honour his name,
Throughout the whole world he has acquired fame.
His music aclaimed, his name is renowned,
as no other composer, at least none that I've found.
The work is orchestral, that much is known,
Composed before the Dutch Calvinists overthrown.
When President Washington to Mount Vernon retired,
The penning of this work had not yet transpired.
Quod scripsi, scripsi.
